Hands-On & Field Work
I’m drawn to hands-on work where I’m close to the equipment and responsible for how things turn out. Outside of my professional roles, I spend a lot of time maintaining, repairing, and improving physical gear—often in situations where shortcuts become obvious quickly.

I own and maintain a 23-foot offshore-equipped center-console boat, which I’ve overhauled for fishing capability, reliability, and modern comfort. That’s included electrical rework, mechanical troubleshooting and repair, fabrication, and system upgrades—often with limited access and little room for error.

Beyond boating, I’ve also worked on projects including tractor repair, fixture design, construction and landscaping builds, and general fabrication. These experiences reflect how I naturally approach problems: practically, methodically, and following the details through.

Together with my professional experience, this work reflects operate I work as an engineer—fluent with physical systems, grounded in how things get built and maintained, and motivated to create solutions that are reliable, functional, and have a positive impact.
