Hands-On Personal Work
I’m drawn to hands-on work where I’m close to the equipment and responsible for how things turn out. Outside of my professional roles, I spend a lot of time maintaining, repairing, and improving equipment, often in situations where shortcuts reveal themselves quickly.

It started as a belt replacement...
I own and maintain a 23-foot offshore-equipped center-console that I’ve overhauled for fishing capability, reliability, and comfort. The work has included electrical rework, mechanical troubleshooting and repair, fabrication, and upgrades, often with limited access and little room for error.

Beyond the Dock
Beyond boating, I’ve also worked on projects including tractor repair, fixture design, construction and landscaping builds, and general fabrication.

Built to Fit
Together with my professional experience, this is how I work as an engineer: comfortable with real equipment, grounded in how things are built and maintained, and focused on solutions that are reliable, practical, and have positive impact.
